Jr. IT Analyst

Serving as the first point of contact for IT in-house and facility services and support, the ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize client requests. This is an adaptive position for someone with an opportunity to evolve the services to best fit our clients needs.

Key Duties:

  • Providing exceptional SMA (Service Maintenance Agreement) facility support, delegating ticket escalation to vendors and manufacturers via phone and email
  • Upkeep and operation of workstation hardware, supporting in-house applications, Windows domain services, printers, network access, telephones, and remote connectivity
  • Maintaining a compliment of provided on-site IT services (ex: Backups/Restoration)
  • Creating and maintaining incident records, work logs, change logs, tutorial documentation, and contributing to an IT knowledge database

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Help Desk or Service Desk Analyst role preferred
  • Familiarity with hospital patient call/nurse call systems and RTLS Wi-Fi systems is preferred but not a requirement
  • Within a framework of challenging timelines and limited supervision, the successful candidate must possess the ability to process and prioritize a high volume of work with accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are a necessity; and the ability to work with a variety of customers at all levels
  • Experience with Active Directory, Domain Services; Windows operating systems (consumer/server), Office 365, Outlook, MS Office applications; Network (LAN/WAN) concepts, VPN technologies; Mobile Technologies (Smartphones/Tablets), and Printers required
  • Experience with building and repairing computer hardware; and a working knowledge of past and existing computer hardware components/technologies required
  • Experience using an IT Service Management or ticketing system to manage Incidents and Service Requests
  • A theoretical or working knowledge of virtualization and remote application delivery services desired (ex: VMWare ESXI and Citrix)
  • A strong desire to learn
  • Ability to work and excel in a team setting
  • Must be able to occasionally travel to remote sites as required
  • Must be able to perform shift work and on call support on a rotational basis
  • Comp TIA or MCSE certifications are an asset
  • A diploma in a computer related field preferred
